A native of Santa Monica, Dr. Lauren Reager received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship in Internal medicine and residency training in Dermatology at the same institution. Dr. Reager established the Santa Monica Dermatology group in 1968. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and completed the voluntary recertification examination in 2009. Additionally, Dr. Reager is certified in Dermatopathology by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, Pacific Dermatologic Association, American Medical Association, California Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. He has served as Chief of Dermatology at UCLA/Santa Monica Hospital and St. John's Hospital. Dr. Reager is currently an adjunct faculty member at John Wayne Cancer Center at St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA.
Dr. Colman received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has attended many post-graduate seminars and preceptorships in the use of lasers in Dermatology. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and successfully completed a voluntary re-certification by the Dermatology Board in 2009. Dr. Colman is also board-certified in Dermatopathology. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pacific Dermatologic Association, the International Society of Dermatopathology, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. Dr. Colman is a member of the staffs of both St. John's Hospital and Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital, and served for several years as Chief of Dermatology at St. John's. He has been in private practice in Dermatology in Santa Monica at the same location for the past 32 years.
Dr. Paul Smith received both his undergraduate and medical training at UCLA. He also completed his residency at a UCLA affiliated program. He is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and recently completed a voluntary recertification in 2009. He is in good standing with the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Smith was born and raised in Southern California and has practiced locally for over 30 years. Dr. Smith is a member of the staff of Santa Monica-UCLA hospital. He has a long-standing history of working with both Veteran's groups and career lifeguards.
Dr. Schmidt joined our practice after completing her advanced dermatology residency training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she also received her medical doctorate. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Brown University . Dr. Schmidt is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women's Dermatologic Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the North American Hair Research Society. She has worked with several of the internationally-renown leaders in hair loss and received a Women's Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award to do a clinical and research fellowship at the University of Bologna in 2009. She is a published author in several peer-reviewed journals and has volunteered her time to dermatologic support groups and free clinics. Dr. Schmidt also serves as the section head of Dermatology at St John's Hospital and is an adjunct faculty member at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Dr. Schmidt is a native of Los Angeles.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Litak earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed a general surgery internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. After his residency training in dermatology, he went on to complete an advanced fellowship in Mohs skin cancer and reconstructive surgery. (only 70 such fellowships exist). Dr. Litak joined Santa Monica Dermatology Medical Group after practicing for two years at Kaiser Permanente, Woodland Hills, where he had experience in treating difficult skin cancers and all types of skin conditions. Board certified in dermatology and fellowship-trained in Mohs skin cancer and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Litak provides comprehensive dermatologic care. Dr. Litak has a special passion for minimally scarring skin surgery, the surgical management of skin cancer, and reconstruction after skin cancer removal. He accepts referrals from other doctors for Mohs as well as for the excision of cancerous and benign skin lesions.
Kasey Drapeau-D'Amato PA-C is licensed by the Medical Board of California. She has been practicing in the field of Dermatology since 2003. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and her Master's degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Kasey trained and works extensively with Dr. Lauren Reager. As an experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant, Kasey recently achieved the status of Diplomate by the Society of Dermatology P.A.s. She is active with both the local California Academy of Physician Assistants and the National Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is very knowledgeable with both general and cosmetic dermatology. She has been a clinical trainer for Medicis and Allergan, the companies
that developed Restylane, Dysport, Botox, and Juvederm. She is passionate
about skin care and currently developing a natural skin care product line. Kasey is originally from Freeport, Maine but now enjoys living in Calabasas with her husband and 2 dogs.
